Pyres, Irony and Arrogance

From Atlanta,

Earlier today I stumbled off the beaten path to take this picture of “The Shade” and the Sunset with a flower dedicated in front presumably to the Paris victims from Friday’s massacre. The Rodin statue represents a gift from Paris to commemorate the deaths of several Atlantans from a plane crash years ago in France. I have always found this gift to be impressive. May we stumble off the beaten path more often. May we embrace zen–gratitude, service and responsibility combined. In time to avoid a mishit of a Doctors Without Borders hospital. In time to delay a United Airlines Flight 93. In time to listen beyond the drums of Syrian and Iraqi wars played by the “iron” and “arrogant.” And in time to dedicate a flower or a masterpiece, a turned cheek or a turned page in the unmoveable feast and mindless waltz of “Kill and be Killed.” May we be patient enough to appreciate all things always all the time. To more moderation, wisdom, courage and justice from Atlanta to The Shade beyond–a long life and an enlightened one at that. For auld lang syne. Amen.

Plus ca change plus c’est la meme chose.

“All flesh is grass.”

“Peace, peace, peace,”
